This Privacy Policy explains how Fish Forecast handles information when you use our mobile app or web app at craft2press.com/fish/.

1. Information We Collect

Anonymous User ID

When you first open the app, a random unique identifier (UUID) is generated and stored in a browser cookie on your device. This ID is not linked to your name, email address, or any other personal information. It is used solely to track your subscription status.

Location

You may enter a location by typing a place name or by sharing your device GPS coordinates (premium feature, requires your explicit permission). Your location is used only to fetch real-time weather, fishing conditions, and map data. We do not store your location on our servers.

Subscription and Payment Information

If you purchase a premium subscription, your anonymous user ID and subscription status are stored in our database. Payment processing is handled entirely by:

• Stripe (web purchases) — Stripe Privacy Policy
• Google Play / RevenueCat (Android purchases) — Google Privacy Policy, RevenueCat Privacy Policy

We never receive or store your credit card number, billing address, or other payment details.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number
• We do not require account registration
• We do not display advertisements
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes
• We do not track you across other apps or websites

3. Third-Party Services

The app fetches data from the following external services:

• Open-Meteo – weather and marine data
• OpenStreetMap / Nominatim / Overpass API – map tiles, geocoding, and points of interest
• GBIF – fish species occurrence data
• USNO – moon phase data
• NOAA / SWPC – geomagnetic Kp index data
• RainViewer – live Doppler radar imagery

Your location coordinates are sent to these services only to retrieve relevant data for your requested location.

4. Data Storage and Security

Subscription records are stored in a database on our private server using HTTPS encryption. We do not retain location data after your session ends.

5. Children's Privacy

Fish Forecast is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

6. Your Rights

If you wish to remove your subscription record, contact us at shawn@craft2press.com with your anonymous user ID and we will delete it.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
